Content Curation
In the Chapter 9 of the book "Social Media for Strategic Communication" Karen Freberg talks about the concept of content curation. The fact that goes unnoticed by most of the people is that content curation is significantly different from content creation. Content creation mostly refers to creating the content from scratch and creating masses of work and putting it up on the web. Content curation, on the other hand, is the process of sorting through large amounts of content on the web and presenting the best points in an organized and meaningful way.
The process of content curation can include sorting, arranging and organizing data according to different themes and then publishing that information.Ir is less time consuming process and it also gives credit to the writers and publishers of the content you are using. It is very important to recognize their efforts hence one must put references and links to the the original articles.
Freberg also states that one of the great aspects about content creation is that it gives you a much wider exposure. It is less expensive and less time consuming. And it makes your brand voice more elaborate and authentic.
