My Skydiving Experience

I always knew I wanted to do this but I didn't know I would be this impulsive when I actually do it. I am talking about skydiving. I woke up in the morning and decided to just jump out of a plane. I remember driving to the skydiving center in San Diego and I remember that I was not at all excited or nervous. It was an hour long drive from my hotel to the designated location and all I did during that drive was listened to music and not really cared what was about to happen soon.

When we reached the location I remember asking my skydiving instructor if it was okay for a person to be this calm during their first jump and she told me it was very rare and that she thought I had done it a couple times before. I was proud of myself but I was also concerned, and I kept convincing myself that some people react to different things differently. Sometimes you are so nervous that your body kind of shuts down or at least calms down itself.

Anyway when I first jumped I felt my stomach turning and my ears were hurting because it was very loud. But it was a good experience overall. Of all the things I know at least I can check off skydiving from my bucket list. I hope I get to do it again and next time I will make sure that I have fun.

  1. This is so cool. I've always wanted to skydive, but I think I would end up chickening out. It's so cool you didn't get scared! I would literally freak out. I bet the view was pretty in California too! I hope you get the chance to do it again. It sounds like you're a natural.

  2. I'm so jealous that you were so calm about skydiving! If I had been in that situation I probably would've cried the whole time. Hopefully you get to do it again sometime!
