The Beautiful World of Jeffree Star

After almost a year of anticipation, Shane Dawson finally premiered the first part of his new docuseries on Youtube, “The Beautiful World of Jeffree Star.” This series follows up with his previous collaboration with Jeffree Star, “The Secret World of Jeffree Star.” The trailer already had 10 million views after the two days of its dropping. And, yesterday within an hour of the first video of the docuseries being posted it was trending on Youtube and Twitter.

The hour-long video focuses more on the nervousness and insecurities that Dawson felt before entering the beauty industry. He talks about his friendship with Jeffree Star and how the insecurities about his body makes him feel like he won't be welcomed in the beauty community that revolves around make up and beauty. Furthermore, the trailer shows that the next parts the series will focus more on the drama that both Youtubers went through last year, the new eye palette that they are planning to release later this year and their journey of them making this palette. The docuseries will also throw light on James Charles and Tati drama, and $2.5 million Jeffree Star make up theft that happened last April.

Although the video is getting a lot of appreciation and within a day of its premier it already has 12 million views and one million hits on Youtube, there are people who have claimed this video as Dawson’s attempt to make people forget about their controversial pasts. Both the Youtubers have had their shares of controversies in their careers.
