Marvel Universe bids farewell to Spider-Man
Marvel sold the film rights for Spider-Man back in the 1990s, and as a result one of their most marketable hero technically became Sony property but that changed in early 2015, when Marvel and Sony reached an unprecedented deal that allowed Spider-Man to be rebooted as part of the Marvel Universe (MCU) once again. Although this agreement was proven to be very profitable but now the deal between Sony and Marvel has collapsed and Spider Man is to leave the MCU world.
Fans are upset as Spider-Man plays are very important role in the Marvel world especially as the comical teenage avenger in the Marvel’s Avengers series. They are questioning how the Spider Man’s story will continue once his character exists the Marvel world. There are a lot of questions the fans want to ask regarding Sony once again owning Spider-Man. Will the series have to start all over again and will the avengers pretend that Spider-Man never existed in their storyline? There is not guarantee of Spider-Man being as successful in Sony as it was as a part of Marvel.
Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige is producing a wealth of Marvel content for Disney+, and he'll be rebooting the X-Men and the Fantastic Four as part of the MCU as well. He doesn’t plan on getting tangled in a legal fight for a property that his company doesn’t own. Hence, MCU Universe has bid farewell to the character of Spider-Man.

I remember reading this news and dropping my phone in disbelief. Being the superhero nerd that I am, I follow these movies heavily. After the most recent Spider-Man movie, that left us all on a HUGE cliffhanger, leaves me with so many questions. I'm not sure how they plan to deal with this news but I'm still holding out hope that somehow Marvel and Sony can find a way to work it out and bring Spidey back into the MCU.
