Trip to Florida
I reached Florida on Sept 20, 2019. Although I was extremely annoyed because of the 4 hour delay in my flight I felt excited as soon as I landed in Orlando. I met a friend of mine on the airport and since we both didn't have enough time to go back to the hotel before meeting rest of our friends in the Island of Adventure we both got ready at the airport bathroom and went directly to the Universal Studios. I have to admit it was one of the best theme parks that I have visited. My favorite memory is going on the Hulk roller-coaster ride. That's because I got bailed on by my friend. As I walked through the security I looked behind to see no one there. It was at that moment I found out what betrayal looked like. It looked like her. But I had more fun alone because I didn't have to reassure her that we'll come back alive after every five minutes.
At one point during the trip, all of us Pakistani exchange students decided to cook food. One of us tried to cook ramen noodles without water and ended up almost setting off the fire alarm. I can't forget the moment when I asked her about the amount of water she put while cooking and she replied, "Were we supposed to put water in it?." I remember literally rolling on the floor laughing while my eyes burned with the spicy smoke coming from the microwave.
Although meeting my friends and visiting Orlando was great but my favorite part of this trip was going to Clearwater Beach in Tampa. I can still feel the waves hitting my lower body, the salty sea wind running though my hair and my skin glittering due to the sand particles stuck to it. It was the best feeling ever.
WOW! I'm so glad you traveled and had a lot of fun. Especially it was interesting to know that you cooked spicy food. I am not a fan of spicy food just because I do not used to it but I understand your feelings as I miss Russian food as well. I hope you will visit as many places as you wish this beautiful semester!
